Questions

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose a TFSA or an RRSP?

It depends on your income today, what you expect in retirement and what you're saving for. Many people use both. We can look at your situation together.

Can I use an FHSA and the Home Buyers' Plan together?

Yes. If you qualify as a first-time home buyer, you can use both for the same home purchase.

How much do I need to get started?

You can start small. What matters most is starting and staying consistent.

Do you work with newcomers to Canada?

Yes. As a newcomer, you start building TFSA room from the year you become a Canadian resident and are at least 18. I came to Canada as a newcomer too, and I'm happy to explain how it works.
